River of Life

"Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." - John 4:13-14

Home is Paradise

I went on vacation last week. I left on Saturday morning, and arrived in Houston at 9 AM. I then left on Monday, and arrived back in NYC on Monday night at 11 PM.

I got to see my family again. It had been 6 months since I last saw them. I got to hang out a lot with my brother, and play a lot of Halo 2 with him. I got to hang out with my mom and dad, and just talk to them about what's been going on in their lives.

I also got to catch up with some old friends of mine. They have changed so much...(to be continued; have to sleep for work)

The Ebbs and Flows of Emotion

It's amazing what kind of stirrings music can develop in your heart. Right now I'm listening to "Crumbs From Your Table" by U2. It's an awesome song. I listened to this song after my breakup with my first girlfriend (I am still close friends with her). It stirs up emotions of longing, of what if's and why not's, memories of first crushes and unforgiving regrets. Memories of how seriously we can take life, and how little we sit back and observe the glory of it all.

Music from U2, Mana, Sting; music that has a lot of instrumentals in it. It just stirs the heart and mind.

Thanks be to God. Whenever I say this, all the emotion, all the sights and wonders, they seem to lift up to Him. It's amazing the way we are built. We are made to wonder and take in this world.

Take a walk through your nearby park one day. Or go hiking. And you will see the majesty of our existence...
